Our third game of the 23/24 Liga Bet season saw us travel to Petach Tikva to take on one of the strongest teams in the league and last year's runners-up, Maccabi Amishav.

Osman Cisse made his full debut for the club in an otherwise unchanged lineup from last week's 2-2 draw at home to Beit Dagan and the XI on the field made a fantastic start to the game, competing at every moment.

Our reward was what could be the Goal of the Season from Vlad Kart, who scored his first Liga Bet league goal with a fantastic, reaction strike that shot past the Amishav keeper to give us the lead.

However, two lapses in concentration towards the end of the first half saw us go into the break behind, an unfortunate development considering how well we played.

The second goal of Amishav was surrounded by controversy, after Jeremy Tenenbaum was elbowed in the face by the Amishav captain but the referee failed to produce a red card.

With the American midfielder receiving treatment on the sidelines for what would be a mild concussion, our opponents went on to score with the referee waiting before allowing Jeremy to return to the field.

In the second half, we conceded early but had a few chances at 1-3 to get back into the game but missed the target when facing the goal. Amishav would go on to score two late goals to inflate the scoreline.

After three games, we remain on a single point, together with three other teams in the division.
