Season 2020/21 Preview: Inter B

Updated: Aug 30, 2020

Our team in the International Football League of Israel ended the last campaign in 5th place, just missing out on promotion to Division 1, whilst reaching the quarter-finals of the IFLI Cup. Head coach Matt Keston will once again take the reigns ahead of the 2020/21 season, in which his side will compete against 11 other teams in the IFLI Division 2.

A number of key players have left Israel during the past 6 months, with the likes of Max Rosenthal, Jeremy Kahan and Dani Mizrahi (see below video) all returning to their home countries. It means that Keston will most likely bring in some new faces to add to his current squad, with Colombian midfielder Daniel Pelaez also needing to be replaced, following his transfer to last season’s champions Estudiantes.

With two years of experience in the IFLI, Keston taking charge of his season at the helm and a number fo new teams joining the division, the aim is without a doubt to earn promotion by finishing in one of the top two positions in the league.

Pre-season training has already begun ahead of the season opener against Moldova FC on September 5th.
